We are more than an event. We’re a MOVEMENT FOR JOURNALISM. An annual gathering of journalists & editors from globally-renowned media, organized by the International Press Institute (IPI).

This year’s IPI World Congress was moved online for the first time in our 70 year history, but we hope to be back in real life in New York next year. We’re working with our hosts at Columbia University to set the dates for September 2021, so stay tuned here for any updates.

Supriya Sharma is the Executive Editor of Scroll.in, India's leading independent digital news organisation, known for its investigative reporting and critical commentary. She has previously worked with the television news broadcaster NDTV and the largest circulated English-language newspaper in the country, The Times of India. She has extensively reported on politics, conflict and development, winning several awards for her reportage, including the Ramnath Goenka Award, the Chameli Devi Jain Award for Outstanding Woman Journalist, the humanitarian reporting award by the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Press Institute of India. She is a former Fellow of the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at the University of Oxford. Supriya lives in New Delhi.
